Teeth Whitening

As you age, the mineral structure of the teeth changes, and the enamel becomes porous. Accumulation of stains and debris causes discoloration and loss of natural luster. Teeth whitening uses a gel, activated by a laser light, which breaks down the stains to restore the natural color of the teeth. After judging the state of your teeth, we will either recommend a vital whitening solution or a non-vital whitening solution. Connect with us to learn more!

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are wafer-thin casings that cover the front surface of the teeth to improve the appearance. They rectify the color, shape, size, or length of the teeth. A very slight amount (0.5mm) of the enamel is removed from the tooth surface and veneers are permanently cemented to the teeth. Being custom-made for each individual patient, they fit perfectly and look very natural.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are used for cosmetic improvements of your smile. White fillings can treat discoloration, chips, cracks, and cavities. After removing the decay, Dr. Martinez will place the filling layer by layer. A special blue light is used to harden the filling and make it durable and resilient.

Invisalign Clear Aligners

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that straightens the teeth while maintaining the aesthetics of your mouth. Clear trays that fit over the teeth gently move the teeth into the pre-planned position. Invisalign or “invisible braces” shift the teeth horizontally, vertically, and can even rotate them if required. These custom-made aligners use small amounts of force to bring the teeth into the desired position.

Veneers

Veneers are thin, wafer-like covers that are bonded to the front side of the teeth to improve their appearance. They provide a uniform façade and cover such imperfections as chips, cracks, misshapen teeth, spacing issues and discoloration. People who have received veneers have beautiful, healthy-looking smiles.

What are the benefits of getting veneers?
  • Veneers do not alter the natural tooth structure. They cover the front of your teeth and provide a beautiful façade.

  • They can repair teeth that are cracked or fractured.

  • Teeth that are chipped or damaged due to external trauma can be brought back to their original shape and size with the help of veneers.

  • Discolored teeth can be made to look whiter by bonding veneers to their front surface.

  • When the teeth are inappropriately spaced, such as in the case of spacing and crowding, veneers can make them look evenly spaced.

  • They can be used to make crooked and misaligned teeth appear straight.

  • They are long-lasting. They do not stain or chip easily.

  • Made from tooth-colored materials such as porcelain, they are very natural-looking.

What is the procedure involved in getting a veneer?

Veneers are custom-made to fit on the front surface of the teeth and will take two appointments, one to make a mold of the teeth receiving the veneers and the second to bond the veneers to the teeth. First, a very thin layer of enamel is removed from the tooth surface to make room for the veneer. During this process, the tooth is also buffed and shaped. A mold of the tooth or teeth is then made to serve as a reference for the fabrication of the veneer at a local dental lab.

At the second visit, the surfaces of the teeth to be treated are roughened up so that the veneers will bond well to the surface of the teeth. A permanent dental adhesive is used to bond the veneers onto the teeth receiving treatment. The adhesive is hardened, and the veneer is firmly bonded using a curing light. We will check the veneer's fitting and comfort, and evaluate the bite. The final step is to polish the veneer and ensures that the color and translucency are exactly as planned.
